Moody Gardens, consisting of Aquarium, Rainforest, and Discovery pyramids, is an educational attraction focusing on nature. Rainforest Pyramid: Moody Garden's $25 million Rainforest Pyramid enhancement project opened in May 2011. This expansive recreation of Rainforests of the World provides guests with a unique two-level experience on the ground level and in the canopy of the trees. More than 2,000 exotic plants and animals now call the 10-story Rainforest Pyramid home, including free-roaming saki monkeys, sloths and birds. The Aquarium Pyramid invites guests to dive into four oceans of the world. Explore the complex beauty and seemingly endless species of marine life in the North Pacific, South Pacific, South Atlantic and Caribbean. Large touch tanks and jewel tanks feature the vivid beauty of the ocean world and provide underwater classrooms and learning opportunities for people of all ages. The blue glass pyramid reaches more than 12 stories high built on two viewing levels, guests will stroll up and down walkways to experience the exhibits from above and below the water's surface. The Discovery Pyramid hosts traveling exhibits from around the world. Palm Beach Open summers at Moody Gardens, Palm Beach is a white sand beach and playground perfect for the family! There's a lazy river, 18-foot tower slides, wave pool, sandy beaches, freshwater lagoons and waterfalls all in a lush, tropical landscape. IMAX 3-D Theater North America's first IMAX® 3D theater features larger-than-life films by the world's foremost filmmakers. Incredible realistic three-dimensional images are projected onto the giant six-story screen. 4D Special FX Theater Smell, touch, hearing, sight. All of your senses come alive as hi-def digital 3D projection, audio and show control systems put you in the middle of the action! Bubbles, wind, smoke and other effects immerse you in this unique experience.
