85C Bakery Cafe

Deemed the “Starbucks of Taiwan”, pastry chain 85C Bakery Café opened its first Houston location on Bellaire Boulevard to an excited crowd. Pastry enthusiasts will swoon over the Taiwanese-inspired pastries, sweet breads (milk bread stuffed with sweet bean paste), macarons and cakes. Keep an eye out for seasonal items to hit the shelves, and grab as many as you can while they last.

Don’t overlook the drink menu, lined with a variety of coffees worth trying. After all, the café was named 85 degrees Celsius for the belief that coffee holds its flavor best at this steady temperature. For non-coffee drinkers, teas, lemonades and of course boba teas (tapioca milk tea) are always available.

Inside the Chinatown sweet shop, guests can grab-and-go or order from the counter. The café is open daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
