Hank's Ice Cream Parlor

For more than 20 years, Hank’s Ice Cream Parlor has remained a go-to favorite for old-fashioned, handmade ice cream. The bright and cozy business offers guests 18 daily-changing flavors, culled from a list of nearly 100 flavors.

Though founder Hank Wiggins passed in 2011, his family continues his legacy for turning out house made ice-cream on South Main. The spot fills its freezers with standards like vanilla, chocolate and strawberry, but it's Hank's outside-the-box creations that stand out. Beyonce has even been known to pop by to get her fill of banana pudding ice cream, while other regulars return for dulce de leche, grape nut and even orange chocolate chip varieties.

Hank's is open Tuesday through Saturday, noon to 8 p.m., and Sunday, 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
