Sprinkles Cupcakes

Sprinkles Cupcakes joined the sweet scene in Houston's Highland Village in June 2010, serving up its signature desserts to hungry inner-loopers.

Set next door to the Paper Source boutique, Sprinkles manages to look sweet, even from the outside. The clean-lined, milk-chocolate facade is only a prelude to the decadence within. On one side of the (very) small and cheery space, buttercream-topped creations sit neatly atop a sleek, tri-level cupcake display and just a few steps away, a handful of barstools give patrons prime people-watching perches from which to sample Sprinkles’ gourmet treats.

Listen up, cupcake aficionados, while the bakery does serve up the standard vanilla and chocolate varieties, it also manages to keeps things interesting with an ever-changing assortment of seasonal and specialty flavors, as well as vegan and gluten free cuppies, both of which are available seven days a week.
